I'm glad we never had a nuclear war with Russia. It would have been terrible with millions of people dead and millions more people wounded and scarred for life. 3.7 trillion dollars have been added to the national debt in the past seven years. I just heard Senator Claire McCaskill say that the Bush Administration (with a Republican Congress for the first six years) added a trillion dollars in new spending along with $3.7 trillion of new debt.

We all make decisions every day that influence the course of our lives. We do this individually, but also on national and global levels. Social engineering will occur as long as decisions are being made. I'm glad I live in a democracy where decisions are made in transparent and accountable ways.
